Proper Form

My sternum hurts when I'm doing chair deeps. Not right away, but after about 10, so just around the time I'm getting fatigued.

Is it me not engaging my arms? My biceps getting fatigued and not doing the work anymore? Could it be that I'm missing something regarding the form?

Anyone else experiencing similar things?

Good morning, America. Posting to weird times and MFP changing its format for the forum is the perfect combo for getting no reply to my post.

That’s an exercise that engages your chest as well as arms, so it could be that you are just feeling that.

Should be *dips. And it turns out it's the triceps I should be engaging. I was probably right about the form, though.

Flexibility here matters as well. Chair dips aren't the best exercise for people with limited shoulder flexion. I would rather they do diamond pushups (hands close together) elbows in.
