How long you been lifting big boy?
took almost a 5 year layoff as my head was not exactly screwed on straight, injury and all that good stuff.0 -

Nice. Only 6 months into it myself. I'm including the big 3 powerlifting lifts into my routine pretty heavily. I'll be pretty stoked if I can get to where you are mass-wise but I wanna cut right down to around 10%0 -
Excellent......simply great job !
By the way, I do care0 -

I think the big difference with my mass is the history of power lifting. At my heaviest i weighed 255lbs and people thought i was on the juice until i lifted up my shirt and they would see a bell of fat around my waist. I had a buddy of mine supplying raw cows milk and i was bulking up with 1 gallon a day. Funny thing about power lifting, eat anything and everything you will keep getting stronger, wont look the best but... I believe in mass first then cut it down.
If your only into it 6 months, i would say you are off to a great start, looking good!0 -

Thanks mate, I've been cutting all that time too. I was already a big boy.....but I was majorly obese on top of that (I got out to about 350lb).....so there won't be any bulking for me until I lean right out. In the meantime I've been making the most of noob gains and because I'm only on a very modest deficit, I've been getting stronger too.
On Friday night, I'm going to pull proper Olympic bar deadlifts for the first time. Up until now, I've been using the hammerstrength machine, so it'll be interesting to see how my 792lb 1RM on that rig translates onto a proper barbell. I'll be happy with 600.
Sorry for the hijack.0 -

One of the best breakdowns of the movement i have ever seen. Deadlift is a wild movement, requires strong core, abs, hams and straight as an arrow back. Quickest thing you can do to end your lifting career. If you have never done these, be very careful at first until you learn the motion. But, oh my what a back builder it is.0 -
