How do you add a friend?

I'm in the forums and there doesn't seem to be a way to go to a persons profile and add them as a friend?

    Tap/click on their username.
    Then tap /click on 'view profile'.
    You'll be taken to their forum profile.

    In the web address, delete 'community.' from the web address and you 'll be taken to their profile, where there should be a button to send a friend request.
