Change advertisements to be fixed-height even if not yet loaded

This is more of a technical suggestion on the UI side of things, but for those of us who use MFP for free, it would be nice having dedicated ad space that doesn't make the main page content jump around. Oftentimes I'll be about to click on something, and it jumps down (or up) because an advertisement - either the smaller, compact banner ads or the double height ones decide to suddenly load in. This either causes me to click the wrong thing, or in some cases, click on the advertisement.

Let me make it clear: I am not against the use of advertisements for free users. I am, however highly against terrible UI/UX. And this, my friend, is absolutely terrible UI/UX.

Based on the two sizes I see, I suspect the two ad types that are generated are "Leaderboard" (720px x 90px) and "Pop-Under" (720px x 300px). Either that or the larger ads on the top of the page are some odd size that isn't a standard.

Either way, perhaps make a dedicated 720px x 300px div element that contains the ad; this is a fixed size, and thus, the page content that I'd personally be interacting with will remain in the same spot, no matter how much the ad changes/cycles/loads/doesn't load.

Alternately, make a leaderboard-only sized ad spot, and keep it pinned to the bottom of the webpage, removing it from the general flow of the page itself (just remember to add padding of 90 inches so if I scroll to the bottom of the page it won't interfere with the content, itself)!

If any of this is unclear, but any of the devs/designers from MFP is curious as to what I mean, they can reach out to me and I can whip up an HTML/CSS example of what I'm getting at.

This creates a less-jarring experience for the user, especially if they might be slipping onto the site for only a moment to log a food and be off (in my case, I use it over the app at work, because cell signal is inconsistent in my building; using the website is generally more consistent for me!)

Yeah. Clicking on something only to have it move due to ads loading, and something unintended getting activated is real annoying.

Sorry for the late reply, just saw this. And yeah, that, or just accidentally clicking on an ad. So annoying :s
