Calorie goal question.

Anyone know why or how it gives such low amount of calories? Feels like I should at least be getting 2000-2500 when building muscle.

What are your stats and goals?
What goals did you enter in MFP?
And what calorie goal did you get?
Without that info, the only things to say are:
- the way MFP works is that you choose your activity level not counting intentional exercise. Intentional exercise gets logged afterwards and will add calories to your goal
- the number MFP gives you is based on formulas that are based on population averages. So you'll need to 'test drive' the number you get and adjust based on real life results2
