Android app update turned remaining calories numbers from green to black!

And it messed me all up! Was this part of an "upgrade"? I didn't change any settings, and then started messing with goals before I realized THAT's what changed! ARgh!

  • Mine changed too. I'm not a fan of the black numbers either.

I'm glad they finally got rid of it. They should have removed it when they stopped making going over your calories red. Because red = "bad" and green = "good", they were essentially patting people on the back for being under their calories, regardless of by how much.

I would like to know how to change this. I still have the green/red but my wife and mother in law are all black. We are all on Samsung phones and app is up to date (4 days ago)

Any chance your phone is older than theirs, and has an older OS? Possibly notifications say you're "up to date" because you're using the most recent update that's compatible with your version of Android OS? (This is just a guess on my part -- in my actual experience, I didn't receive any notice that my apps weren't being updated b/c of old OS until they just stopped worked.)

I checked and we are both using the same version of Myfitnesspal and the same Android OS

You could try clearing the app data then relaunching it. Or uninstalling/reinstalling. Android can be finicky sometimes.
