On Android (I don't use ios so I don't know about that platform) the calorie over/under goal amount is black instead of red or green, can this be changed back? It really helped on days when I'm constantly on the goal to be able to tell with a quick glance

If it helps, there is a widget you can put on your home screen that does display your remaining calories in green or red, but IME it needs to be manually synced (like, if you log something on desktop, you have to then go tap the widget to sync that change to mobile). It's also got quick-access buttons for the barcode scanner and "+" (add) buttons (be it weight, exercise, food, water, or status, just like within the app).
To add the widget, long-press on the app icon and a menu will appear.
In the upper-right corner of that menu is an icon that looks like four squares, with the top-left square tilted; tap that to bring up the widget menu.
Long-press on the box marked "MyFitness... 4 x 2" to select the widget, then you can drag and drop it wherever you want it.0
