How to loss weight with chronic coccydynia?

I'm 30 years old (unmarried girl, if it matters) My height is 5 feet and 4 inches with 68kgs of weight.
I've been suffering from coccyx pain since 18 months. Doctors said my coccyx has been partially dislocated. I've consulted dozens of doctors including orthopedic surgeon, neurosurgeon, chiropractors, herbalist, spinal surgeon and Don't even remember the categories now.
Finally Nerve block (local anesthesia) has been recommended by doctor but it will only reduce 30% pain for almost 6 weeks and the pain will reverse back but I don't want to as steroids injections has more side effects than benefits.
I'm willing to spend my life with this dislocated coccyx now 🙂

I walk almost 5-6 kms a day 3-4 times a week.

Can anyone help me to lose weight (any suggestions) as doctor asked me not to do strenuous activities infact they all strictly forbade me not to exercise.

I'm waiting for all your kind support 🙂

Love from Pakistan

I lost ~80lbs without going any significant exercise. I'm significantly disabled and can barely walk.

You don't need rigorous exercise to lose weight, so don't stress about it.

I'm not sure you are overly over weight. I'm 5'3" I'd like to make it to 10 stone. I guesstimate 7-9 lbs. Being able to achieve being pain free could help keeping to a dietary regime. I'm amazed you can walk the distances you do. You are managing to keep active, I admire you. Being only 30, living with pain is not what you need in the long term.

Trying to draw on recollections, trying to be practical. First has no one suggested a doughnut cushion for sitting on. The idea is you are enabled to sit without putting pressure on your coccyx.

Has no one made any suggestions for why its happening, arthritis, crumbling bones, osteoporosis or anything? Is it possible it might have started after a fall which caused you to land on your coccyx, the pain could have started a little while after. I have no idea if you have functional practitioners in Pakistan, they are few and far between in the UK.

Available on the supplement market are things like MSM, you need to read up on this for yourself you know yourself best it can help with pain relief. Glucosamine and chondroitin can help space the bones if this is the core of you issues. I hope the practitioners you have visited have given you some thoughts.

I sincerely hope you can find some relief.

You do not need to exercise for weight loss - but it is great for your health, so keep up the walking if you can. You “just” need to be in a calorie deficit. So plug your stats into MFP, select a slow rate of loss (that’s easier and more sustainable for most people), buy a good scale and weigh and record EVERYTHING you eat and drink. You don’t have to restrict any foods and there is no secret, it’s just eating a little bit less. Good luck!

i know this wasnèt your question....but i have a bit of personal experience with what you are going thru...i know this can pain can be debilitating and exhausting and it can last what seems like forever. then all of a sudden, the pain is gone as quickly as it came on. i hope that is what happens with you also if that gives you any hope you wont be living with this forever.
