Hi i finally bought the fitbit one and synched it to mfp. The problem i am having is that i am an avid spinner I love to spin AND I spin daily -1hour class. I just also started weight training. so i realized i cannot use my fitbit one while i spin it is not measuring my work out correctly. So i have a heart rate monitor a POLAR ....what i began doing is when I get home from my workout, i add my Polar calories burned. So under exercise I add it at mfp and add to ftibit one manually. (of course i take off my fitbit for the one hour spin class) so now i am getting negative readings on my calories eaten and burned. i am confused as to how to do this with a spin class and being accurate with calories in and calories out. can anyone help me with this question ? now i dont know how many calories i should be eating with my workout. my food chart is public if you want to see what i am talking about. HELP !!! PLEASE!

You should log your exercise only at Fitbit; remember what time you started and stopped spinning. This will log your activity over your daily data during that time period. Cross-check the calorie amount with your heart rate monitor, if the amount is significantly off, you can extend your logged activity to match your monitor. The exercise logged at Fitbit will sync with MFP automatically. Do not log exercises at MFP. You should avoid negative adjustments this way.0

Yup, just want to add a few points. You can use your Fitbit to create an activity record so you don't have to remember what time you started and stopped (press and hold the button until the clock starts, then press and hold again when done). Then you can alter the record to reflect that you were spinning and change your calories burned if your HRM differes from Fitbit's calc. MFP and Fitbit work really well together, hope you like it as much as I have!0 -
i am gaining and losing the same three pounds. I dont understand what i am doing wrong. so i take off my fitbit when i spin and then I manually put it in . I keep getting a negative adjustment . mfp tells me to eat lets say 1600 with exercise sometime i eat it all back some times i dont. I am not getting this at all. it is very frustrating and i want to quit. I now have a job that by 2:30 I have taken 9000 steps...and then i also at night take a spin class. i am exhausted and i gained 1.4 lbs this week. I really dont get it . If I eat 1200 calories i cant work out. I am too weak and feel dizzy and faint....so I am sticking to 1600 calories a day and sometime over depending on my daily "out" number. what am I doing wrong ?????0
