How long will it take me to notice myself running better?

I just started cross country two days ago. For the past two days I have been running more than I ever have. I also didn't run that hard over the summer. I will be running 4-6 miles every day or doing a track workout 6x a week and Sundays are rest days. I currently can run around 8:30 per mile. How long will it take to notice improvements (speed and endurance)? I really want to get better!!!
