Does anyone know exactly how the "net carbs" function works?

I have to eat 6 gms of fiber or more per meal to be allowed to count it against carbs eaten. Does MFP take this into consideration, or is it just at straight equation (carbs - fiber = net carbs)?

I really doubt that MFP uses any minimum per meal, simple subtraction of fiber is most likely how it works.
Just going to add this:

So it's a subtraction of fiber and sugar alcohols.0
