I am getting back to this challenge based on Pahla B's guide to losing weight. The challenge is lose 8 pounds by July 6 by losing one pound every 12 days. I am posting openly to see if that will help me be accountable and motivate me to stick to the challenge. I have five goals each day that are recommended by Paula and a few extra. The first 1 pound weight loss is due on April 1 (which is less than 12 days, but just for this first round). I post in the morning as that works best for me.
Goal Weight: 133 by April 1
Current Weight: 134-ish. I didn't weigh today. But I was 134 yesterday.

Mindset Journal Entry: It really helped me to stay on track knowing that I was going to post here. Today I am going to court to support a friend who is asking for a restraining order. She wants to take me out for dinner afterwards, so not sure how good of a day it will end up being. I have to order smart.0 -

Mindset Journal Entry: I blew my 2 day streak, which I knew would happen. I went to court with a friend who had applied for a restraining order and she was granted one year. We went out to celebrate after court and so the restaurant food and some wine were a part of our night. I didn't expect to be 2 pounds and I hope it's water retention. I don't think I will be able to make my first goal, which is distressing! I don't have any events coming up that would cause me to stumble again, so the fight to get a high streak and a lower weigh in is on. I may not make my first goal, but I should be on my way to losing something.0 -

Mindset Journal Entry: I almost had a compliant day. I was quite hungry at 9pm so I had a pickle. Not a big cheat, I did it consciously and didn't choose chocolate! I was told yesterday that I was exposed to Covid on Tuesday. Two of my co-workers are sick and one tested positive. I guess I will find out by Saturday if I picked it up.0 -

Mindset Journal Entry: The weight is slowly coming down, but it's not new weight lost yet. I didn't make today's goal, but I am hoping I can make my new goal that I will start tomorrow. I got hungry again last night and had a pickle. That did the trick. I now have a sore throat so I am guessing I have Covid. I won't test until Sunday as anyone that tests sooner than 5 days seems to get a negative result. We only have access to home test kits as the general public. I will try and eat a bit more at dinner so I don't feel hungry before bed. I was doing fine with that up until the last couple of days.0 -

Mindset Journal Entry: I tested positive for Covid yesterday. I have a friend that is an RT and she said it would be good for me to do the test. It took less than 2 minutes out the of 15 minutes to show a positive result. I was plagued with fatigue all day yesterday and spent most of it watching Netflix. I think I feel better today although I may be getting a cough.0
