No more meds for me. I hope

Hi everyone.
I'm looking to lose weight and see If it helps me get off my inhalers for asthma. I watched a documentary today and it claimed that by losing weight, the participants in the documentary got off their diabetes meds, inhalers. And helped children speak who had autism. Has losing weight helped anyone on here get off certain meds?

HI!! I've gotten away from diabetes,,, I WILL NOT sugarcoat this, the damage I did to my body continues, BUT!! BUT!!! My A1C is now ,,, 5.3!! That's NOT a typo. It was NOT EASY to do, but I am so glad I did!!! I started at 288 lbs, and am now at 180. GONE 100 lbs!! It has not been easy, but Its doable. When I started off I was using a power chair 98% of the time (Helped by moving to CO from ME seeing a spine Dr) but also losing the weight helped, cutting back, but NOT OUT of any food categories, making healthier choices.
