Hi All! I'm back and ready for change. Facing many physical and medical obstacles, but this time and forward it's all about making progress, not perfection. I'm 64 and hope to find some accountability and encouragement here.

YES, "progress, not perfection" is something I say a lot. As long as you're moving forward, you'll get there.0

And age is no barrier: I showed up here on MFP at age 59. In under a year, my weight (and my medical metrics) were back to healthy/normal, and they've stayed there - with MFP's help - for 6 years since. (I'm now 66.)
In some ways, I think we have advantages with age: We can be more canny/wily, and we tend to know ourselves pretty well. We have experience gaming our own preferences, strengths, and limitations to accomplish major life goals by chipping patiently away at them over weeks/months, even years if necessary: We've developed those skills getting an education, building a career, maybe raising a family, and more.
Welcome back! Wishing you success in your goals, current and long term.0
