What to do when you’re sick

I was in a groove exercising before work, yoga on Saturday, and functional fitness on Sundays with cleaning, etc.
now I’m getting a cold or something (negative Covid test at least) but definitely under the weather. I’m still watching/tracking my calories but for the past two days not feeling like exercising at all.

“Rest if you must, but don’t you quit!”

    Hope you’re feeling better soon!

Rest, to meet yourself heal. And, if you feel your body needs it, eating at maintenance can be a good idea too while you heal.

I got a horrible cold at the end of November--it lasted for 2 weeks and I'd never had anything like it before (I'm 67). Constant coughing, mucus (thick, puddinglike), headache, and so tired. I tried to exercise during that time, but mostly had to give up and stay in bed. My doctor gave me vitamins after, because I was still draggin'.

It wasn't COVID, and I've since heard from many people that have had it. I'm hoping yours isn't this, but be careful and rest if you're not up to exercising--no guilt. Once it passes you can get back to your normal routine. Best.

I find the best way is just to lean in and have a rest.
Often that way it will only take a few days before I bounce right back up again.

If I try to ignore it and keep dragging about its counter productive. I don't perform well anyway so no progress is being made, and it takes longer to get over it, so I'm below par for weeks rather than days.

Put the kettle on and relax, it'll come back :)
