Can't complete diary or update weight.

I just upgraded my phone from an Galaxy S10 to a Galaxy S21 and I can't complete my diary (it just thinks forever) or update my weight (no update outside of my phone). It seems like my phone isn't communicating with the My Fittnesspal servers since it updates locally but doesnt update outside of my phone. If I go on my Kindle Fire and update it works fine. Is there functionality issues due to 5G or is it something beyond that?

Just to head off the comments saying "Updating outside of your phone isn't needed". I want the full functionality of the app.
