Got my first order of Hello Fresh last week.

Hubby and I have committed to losing some weight and decided to give Hello Fresh a try, choosing healthy meals of course. I must say that I am impressed with the quality of meat and vegetables and the entrees are tasty.
I'm just wondering if anyone knows an easy way to get the meals into MFP? Without knowing some of the quantities, it is tough to enter the recipe manually. I guess I may need to buy a food scale?
Thanks in advance for your help and advice. Happy new year y'all!

I used to order Home Chef and Hello Fresh. The recipe cards usually have the nutritional information. Also typing in "Hello Fresh" in the search bar will bring up some of the meals.2

@adframe I believe that if you search Hello Fresh and the name of the recipe you'll probably find it. All the ones I received were already in the database. I agree, the food was good and high quality. They were a little bit too labor intensive for me, they took way longer that the recipe card claimed even with my husband and I both prepping. Also, they were a little too high in the calorie and carb count for my taste. I hope they work out for you.1

@DaffyGirl88, I agree with the prep time taking longer than they indicate. One of my meals was a salad with shrimp and it had a lot of veggies that had to be washed and dried per their instructions. No way it could have all been done in 10 minutes. It really was delicious though. They certainly have some high-calorie,high-carb entrees. I've been choosy. Only one of the meals I chose was on the "pre-selected menu. I don't think I'm a very adventurous eater!0

@Chef_Barbell, you are correct about the nutritional info being on the cards. Is there a way to just put that into MFP without building a recipe?0

There's always quick add calories and macros if you have premium (for the macros). Otherwise, I do believe you just insert the nutritional information into a new recipe and put 2 servings if I recall that's how they came.0 -
@Chef_Barbell, that brings me to another question. I don't have a premium membership. Do you? If so, what are some of the benefits?0

I do not currently because I pay for another app for my food logging. I used to pay for premium but I found no additional benefits and there always seems to be glitches logging food here for me. I stay here because I have been here over 8ish years now and it grew on me lol0 -
You can also add your whole Hello Fresh meal as a food to the database, if they give you the overall nutrition facts for the dish as prepared, assuming you followed the preparation instructions exactly. If you made any substitutions or additions, or didn't measure cooking oil, that kind of thing, you may want to invest in a food scale and use the recipe builder as described, then use the Hello Fresh nutrition facts as a check to make sure what the recipe builder spits out is reasonable. I know every time I put in a new recipe, invariably one of the ingredients I put in will get matched in the database as a [that-ingredient-flavored] chip or candy or something, or some other random item entirely matching on the brand name, so you gotta check.0
