Returning to MFP - hello!

I'm from Australia, 36 M with 3 beautiful kids and wife. I have always been athletic and completed an ironman triathlon back in 2013. I was in reasonable shape with minimal effort, then I found craft beer... I started brewing and it's really a hobby and a passion now that is not conducive to being healthy!
I had some success with MFP 4 years ago and lost 12 kg in 2.5 months of pretty intense calorie restriction (1500 net @ 102.5kg down to 90.5kg). Since then we have added kids, my wife and I both owned businesses and worked a lot. Health and fitness kind of became lower priority and I weighed in at 107kg Jan 1st 22.
I signed myself up for a sprint triathlon on Feb 6th to force myself to train and prioritise my health again. My plan is a brief 2 week 1500-2000 cal deficit with a lot of training to try and shed some weight quickly and ease the pressure on joints etc while I train. Going well so far with 3kg down (I am sure mostly water). I realise this is extreme but no ill effects so far...
So far I am a little over a week in and am enjoying eating better and training hard with either 1km swim, a bike ride or a 5km run each day as well as a HIIT boxing workout. I am burning ~1000 calories a day which means I can eat plenty. Fortunately I have a high % of muscle so I can afford to lose a little lean mass while I am in this large deficit.
Will bring it back up to 1000 cal deficit at the end of the week for another 2 weeks and then an 800 or so deficit until I reach my goal of 90kg hopefully by the end of April. I will then bring it up to somewhere around maintenance or over with the aim of adding some muscle if I have lost muscle, or just maintenance if I am happy with where I am. I know I can get there, it's the maintenance I will need to work on.
Very inspired by some of the success stories and looking forward to my after photos in a few months!
