Increase calories? How do I beat this plateau?

I have been stuck fluctuating between the same 4 pounds for almost 3 months now! I am at the lowest amount of calories I can eat (1200) and I run four days a week. What can I do to move past this plateau because I'm not even really close to where I want to be. I've read of people increasing their calories before and then lowering them slowly again. Does anyone have any advice or have had any luck with this?

Please just tell me I can fix this and won't be stuck here forever! :(

Thanks guys!

Not sure what your stats are, but 1200 is normally the bare minimum to eat, you more than likely need to eat more. Figure out what your TDEE is and eat 10%-20% less (depending on how close to your goal you are).

Silly as i sounds you probably need to eat more. Your body is hanging on because it's afraid there isn't going to be enough nourishment in the future for survival. 1200 is really on the bottom end of what any adult should be eating. Figure out your BMR and try to eat at least that.
