Wishing I Lived with Vegetarians Sometimes

Alright so I've been having this problem keeping my weight down since I don't live with people who constantly eats vegetables on a daily basis. I know! "Buy your own meals" etc. It's not easy when work is cutting back hours on me and I have to meet ends to pay my bills before September. :noway: As much as I'd love to, when it comes to buying groceries my food ends up lasting for half the week (or less) and the rest goes towards family.

My fiance and I live with my parents as we're trying to pay off the car, help out around the new home with renovations, and save up for our wedding as he's paying off his student loans. The thing with my guy, certain vegetables make him nauseous! I've known a few people I've met who are like that too. He's not even chubby or anything either he's pretty lean!

I was able to lose 2lbs when he was at camp and started to gain back 2lbs when he came back. I've also been training for the past few days as well and drinking a crap ton of water. My scale does not calculate muscle mass so I was thinking that could be a factor. My family wants me to cook spaghetti today since I have a superior scratch recipe in the house that nobody can replicate unless you're my fiancee. And I find it hard to eat other things when everyone gets to eat THAT ONE THING when somebody cooks.

My parents? They don't eat salad (rarely) since it's not in their culture. For them, it's rice with meat, rice with meat rice broth, noodles with some vegetables mixed in, and whatever they eat that I avoid eating since I'm restricting myself from eating food they make every now and then if I find that they make it too oily.

Another thing, my fiance does not eat fish but he'll cook it for me or I end up cooking it myself. For a guy who is from the east coast of Canada, when it comes to food? He's the opposite of his parents. They love veggies, he hates it. They eat sea food, he doesn't - except for fish sticks! He'll have his potatoes, sweet potatoes, onions if I caramelise them, baba ganoush, spinach tortilla, kale (if I blend it in a smoothie in hopes of him not suspecting it's there but the green color gives it away unless I mix more fruit in it). He loves tomato paste with pasta and all that! He doesn't like the texture of veggies so I have to almost puree it and mix it with his food! :grumble:

My younger brother has better taste in foods in the household so I'm glad he goes grocery shopping with my parents! One of these days I'm going to have to take him grocery shopping with my fiance and I since it's not often that I pick up fresh fruits (aside from lemons, oranges, bananas, berries) and veggies from the produce section.

I wanted to lose 3lbs this month (AT LEAST 3), but this ending week for August is not going out so well. Started this month with 122.6lbs lowest I've been was 119.6lbs and back up to 121.6lbs! I know what you're thinking, 121lbs is pretty low! If you think about my height, I'm 5'1" and my frame and the inches around my hips (38" taken at the fullest part) and waist (30")... I'm not exactly there yet. :frown:

I'm going to try to keep at it even if I don't dig deep into my goal by the end of this month, I need more tips on eating healthy with carnivores, and healthy options for snacks and so forth.
