I like this kind of challenge! I can't do 100 straight, but I can do it in 3 sets (40, 30, 30). I use push-up grips, but I don't go that low. I only do them a few times a week at most. (Along with a set exercises mostly aimed at upper body. Weights and bands!)

Push-ups engage a wide range of muscles. You can engage a bunch more by doing a combo of push-up, pull-up, sit-up (crunches and leg raise, really), squats, and lunges with or without weight. The only hard one to accommodate is pull-up, where you need a pull-up bar. My wife won't let me put one in the family room!
