Logging Food in MFP

HI All, I like to use MFP as a planner, as well as a tracker. I found it really overwhelming to log everything when I am eating it, instead I like to plan/log it in advance and follow the plan. I am trying to use some of the recipes provided because I cook from scratch (so the barcode scanning doesn't help me all that much) so the recipes would be great to easily log. My problem is that when I sit down to plan out the meals for the week, I can't get the recipes to go on the right day. They all log for the present day. It might be something I am doing wrong. Has anyone else had this experience and how did you work around it?

I don't use other people's recipes, including MFP (just use recipes I enter myself using the recipe function), but once you've logged it for "today" it's easy to copy it to some other day. Generally, the function is just below the meal or in the upper right corner. If you say whether you're using the website or an app (and which one -- iOS or Android), someone will be able to be more specific about how to copy a meal. Or you could just go to the right day/meal after you've logged it for today, and the recipe should show up in your recent foods.
