Hello, and welcome!
Many people have used MFP to lose weight in their 60s (I did, at 59-60; now 66 and maintaining). Quite a few diabetic people have achieved meaningful improvements in their insulin control, been able to reduce medications, sometimes even eliminate routine meds and control with diet/exercise alone.
With patience and persistence, you absolutely can achieve improvements, too. I'm cheering for you!
If you want to "meet" others here our age, this thread is a good place to do so:
https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10718336/60-yrs-and-up#latest
If you open that up, you may see really old posts on the first page. Don't let that worry you, it's still active, it's just that the new posts are at the end, on the higher numbered pages.
Wishing you excellent results in 2022!0
