I'm in the stage of my life where I finally have a bit more time for me. My kids are more independent and my job is less demanding since COVID started and I don't have to fight through Atlanta traffic 5 days a week. Now I'm focusing on health and happiness. I'm trying find myself again.

I've been making a list of what I used to like and what I wanted to learn but I realized I want something outside the box to do.

So, if you have a hobby/activity most people find unusual or something interesting you do to relax or gives you a since of accomplishment or happiness please share. Something that brings you joy.

Please no XXX adult theme activities.

I've been an avid reader since I was a little kid, spent a lot of time figuring out how I would have written a story differently from the author. Eventually I decided to put my money where my mouth was, so to speak, and actually wrote a novel myself. Never intended it to be distributed or anything, it was just a "let's see if I can do this" kind of deal. Took about a year, end to end, before I self-published and could hold a copy in my own hand.

My daughter loved it, and begged and pleaded for me to do a second novel. I wrote one up fairly quickly (only a couple months), but it got shelved and has taken years for me to spend a little time here, a little there to edit it into something I feel is close to complete. I already have the basic outline for a third novel, but no telling when I'll actually get around to putting pen to paper, lol.

That's cool, what kind of novels do you write?
