Former Sparker, loving MFP

I'm not sure if I ever introduced myself even though I started using MFP in July, I think. I was reluctant to leave Spark People because I'd been on it since 2009. However, I was encouraged by a few people to try My Fitness Pal and I found I like it even better than Spark People. I don't do a lot in the community yet but love how many more items are in the food tracking part of it. My main reason for losing weight is to be healthier.

I am very slowly losing weight and not looking to the end yet. I have a grandchild getting married in Spring, so have lost 19 pounds thus far. It's taken me close to a year for that to happen. I think being in my mid 70's, my metabolism is pretty slow and I have to work really hard to lose anything. I am continuing this journey and now found there will be another grandchild marrying soon too. So there's more motivation to continue!

Looking forward to checking out this group more often.
