How can I go back and see the meals I tracked in 2018?

Just change the date on the FOOD page in your browser bar (the URL.)
For instance, here's the link for January 10th of this year:
https://www.myfitnesspal.com/food/diary?date=2022-01-10
Here's 2018:
https://www.myfitnesspal.com/food/diary?date=2018-01-10
You'll have to go to a date that has entries in it in order to be able to have a URL with a date, though.

if on PC, look at your food diary and you will see a little calandar icon, click on that and go back month by month.
on app on phone, click on the date at the top, it will bring a calandar up, so can search using that.0
