Introduction - first week progress

Hello guys, I lost 2.6 kg in the first week on a ketogenic diet. :) I target to lose 9 more kg within the next 2 months. Let's see! ;)

    Hi and welcome to MFP.

    I don’t mean to be a killjoy, but a cautionary warning.

    It’s very common for people to experience a few pounds or kilos lost the first week, and then experience an uptick.

    Don’t flip out or feel like a failure if that happens. It’s perfectly normal.

    9kilos(appx 22 lbs) in two months is a very, very aggressive pace unless you have a very large amount to lose.

    Be careful about cutting calories too low. That can often lead to a binge that erases some or all of loss, and creates the so called vicious cycle.

    It’s better to go slower and create some new habits so you can keep it off for the long haul.

    How’s it going so far? You’ve made it nearly two weeks. Don’t mean to sound like a smart *kitten*, but that’s a week and five days longer than most people who post here. 👍🏻👏🏻

    So that’s a great start!
