I'm going on vacation for 2 weeks and I'll be staying in different hotels, meaning, I won't be cooking for myself. How can I keep track of what I'm eating? In other words...how do I do not to scr*w it up?

I have a portable (foldable) food scale I take with me on holiday, which I use to weight food in hotels etc.
It's still a bit of guesswork (especially cooked dishes, not knowing the ingredients), but at least it takes the guesswork out of how much the food weighs.

Make healthy choices. There is usually fresh fruit and vegetables and some sort of lean protein available. Just be careful with pastries, biscuits, gravies... moderation...and enjoy your holiday. You can always get back on track after!

I don't just go crazy on vacation, but I'm also on vacation and I'm going to enjoy myself. I true vacation for me and my family comes around once per year and I just enjoy it. I've never been to a restaurant that didn't have a variety of offerings ranging from good and healthy and nutritious to indulgent...you don't always have to pick the indulgent thing. Also just moderate portions...just because it's on your plate doesn't mean you have to eat it. Most restaurants easily serve 2 servings worth of food...you don't have to eat it all and if you have a fridge and microwave you can box it up to reheat later.

I'm also pretty active on vacation...more so than I am at home. I don't really do much in the way of deliberate exercise or workouts on vacation, but we're always out and about seeing and doing. At home I'm behind a desk 5 days out of the week and have to do deliberate exercise or activity just to stay active...on vacation, I'm just out there doing stuff all day most days. Always a lot of just walking around seeing what there is to see, but we also tend to go to places that encourage outdoor recreation so we end up doing a lot of hiking or kayaking or surfing or scuba diving or snorkeling, etc. We're pretty much always on the go on vacation.
