Close old/dead threads

Just saw a thread resurrected from 12 years ago. I think it's great to store old threads for search purposes, but please turn off commenting after a set length of time. If a thread hasn't seen in action for a year, turn off commenting.
People create new threads with the same topics over and over anyway. Heck, I'm probably not the first to post this suggestion either.

+1. Very occasionally an OP will come back years later and say "thanks everyone here's how I'm doing now," but they could just as easily make a new thread if they want to close that loop. Like you said, there's a glut of nearly-identical threads being created every day - we don't also need to have the keto debate on a thread from 2015.1

Agreed, community is much more difficult to navigate because of this issue.0
