One-Armed strength training?

Hi guys! I have only begun strength training within the past two weeks, on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. I'm pretty puny and already I have sustained injury: it hurts to move my fingers on my right hand, and making a fist is unthinkable due to the pain. I suspect this is a tendon related injury and have made an appointment at the doctors to get it checked out (with a two-week wait :explode:). In the mean time, I really want to continue strength training and was wondering if it was possible to continue on using only my left arm. Is that silly? Does anyone have any good and effective one-armed exercise ideas?

Despite my giggling, to seriously answer your question...

Would it kill you to wait a few days and figure out what's wrong with your other hand? As a beginner lifter your best bet is compound moves, and there are none you do 1 handed.

I kind of feel your pain... I'm addicted to lifting, and broke my right wrist doing cardio, and can't lift for at least 6 weeks.

Well anything you can do with a barbell you can pretty much do with a dumbbell, not sure how you hurt yourself, try not to injure the other arm.
