Hello

Hi,my name is Andrea I have been trying the app for about a week now. I live in Michigan so its very cold now for walking outside. I did go to the gym about two weeks ago but then got sick from the cold so I put that on pause. I would like to lose about 100 pounds. Does anyone have any best videos to watch? Or starter eating plans? I'm open to it all. Thanks

    Hi Andrea :)
I live in the middle of Canada.... so I know what you mean about it being cold.
I want to pass along my perspective and approach.

First - I started at 292 lbs last November and still have about 100 lbs left to lose, however I've decided
to embrace the challenge of winter exercise.
I also have two titanium knees (double knee replacement) so I don't think I'm in the hard core athlete category (yet) :p

To me it's all about the mindset..... lol.... and layering your clothes..... and grippers for your boots. :o

Seriously though, by getting dressed and going out for that walk, just 30 minutes at lunch gets me stoked for the rest of the day. Because I know not everyone will do it. In my head, it makes me feel strong..... fierce even..... I am a Winter Warrior!!!
I even go snowshoeing now.... boy does that ever eat up the calories!

Now I'm sure when some people pass me, all they see is as an older (62) overweight woman who has probably lost her mind for going out on a walk when it's -25, but hey, whatever right? ;)

Everyone talks about how they lack motivation, or how do you stay motivated.

I think it's different for everyone....in of itself, a personal challenge.

So maybe instead of shying away from the cold.... embrace your inner winter warrior.
If you need advice on clothing, etc please feel free to message me or what ever.
You don't need to spend alot of money on expensive clothing, just layer properly.

And by time spring comes you will be raring to go!

I hope this helps abit, I know this may not be for everyone but I thought I would share.
