New Member - Seattle Area

I've been a member of this site since 2017 and I've finally gotten around to using it. I ordered the premium membership today. My doctor has recommended I decrease consumption of simple carbohydrates and saturated fats. So bye bye pretty much all processed foods. Going to start on a statin soon for my high cholesterol, and my A1C is 5.8%. I'm a cashier at a grocery store so even though I stand and walk around most of my shift - the treadmill test showed that I'm pretty out of shape. Since I'm looking at a predominately Mediterranean diet with a lot of beans and legumes, etc., I need to figure out my macros and a new diet plan.
