if you jiggle, youre fat.
You're charming, brah. I jiggle. I'm not fat.0 -
If I can slap the leg and ride the wave in.
Ok...this made me laugh and laugh.
For me, I'm fat when my body fat percentage is too high or my clothes don't fit right.0 -
This is definitely different for everyone. A lot of my friends are bigger than I am but I don't consider them fat. They look great how they are. They carry their weight well. They look like they belong at that weight. I consider myself fat because I am carrying excess fat/weight that shouldn't be there.0

I consider myself fat. I have a big ol badonkadonk.0

Pics or GTFO.
Oh. Wait. :frown:0 -
It's a relative term.
This. I'm 5'3 and I consider myself fat when I'm above 140. If I had more muscle and less fat at that weight it would be a different story. Just as someone who carries their weight differently than me might look slender and fit at 150.
Definitely relative! I'm 5'4" and my *goal* weight is 170.0 -
Considering all diff body types, heights, lean body mass and all that, i think:
BMI and BF% are a fair gauge of "fat".0 -
Everyone has a different definition. But it really doesn't matter. It doesn't make you a terrible person because you consider yourself fat or other people do.
1. Can you do the things you need to do physically (or do you have a plan to get there)
2. Are you healthy (or working with your doctor to improve your health as needed?)
3. Do you eat well (with lots of produce)?
4. Do you get regular activity?
If so, great! You are on the path to longevity, no matter what your BMI is.0 -
Do you have different standards for what you consider fat for yourself as opposed to others?
I still consider myself "fat" even though I'm now in normal sizes and really wouldn't look at someone else in this size and see them that way.0 -
It's a relative term.
Exactly...the standards will vary.0 -
Five Levels of Fatness. Reason why I say "Used to say" is because now there are six! Uh-huh, I met the new one in Las Cruces. The original five levels are Big, Healthy, Husky, Fluffy, and DAMN! People ask, "What could be bigger than DAMN!" The new level's called "OH HELL NO!" What's the difference? You're still willing to work with level five.--Gabriel Iglesias0

For males 16% and above. Fat boy status. Chicks, it depends on where the fat goes0

It depends.....When I played football in H.S. I weighed 225 at 5'10" and was not fat. Ten years later same height and weight, I was fat. Pant and shirt size was larger than when I was younger but still same weight. Difference is, the body fat percentage.0

I think that for someone to be fat they have to be obese.
My BMI is around 30.2 and it is smaller than it was, but it is still obese.
I have felt like I am fat for a while, but I don't judge other people for how they look, weight or height wise.0 -
Well, I am fat at 6'0" 310lbs.0
