Fried Onions!

If you are willing to add a few calories to your diet, you ought to think about buying a bag or two of fried onions. I find them near the bacon bits and croutons. My favorite is garlic and pepper. Fried onions add a lot of flavor to foods. But, more importantly, they add great texture. This is so helpful for me. I sprinkle them on my green beans and put them on my Boca Burger and add them to salads. You only need one serving. For the brand I buy, it's 40 calories per serving. I'm fairly sure that I use two servings for salads. But it's usually still fewer calories than I'd get from bagged croutons.
