Working with the Exercise module

The Exercise module does not work for me. It is a struggle to figure out how to enter in weight training, functional strength training, core exercises, etc, and then what I enter is not saved and carried to the diary. I have tried and tried.
I would cancel this program but I paid for a year. Disappointed.

First of all, you can use My Fitness Pal for free, logging exercise is not a paying functionality.
Secondly: very counterintuitive, but if you want to log strength training and get calories for it in our diary, you need to use the cardiovascular section under 'strength training (weight training, weight lifting)' . Have you tried that? There is also an entry for circuit training. Logging strength training under Strength is just for registering your sets and reps and honestly there are better apps out there for that (quite frankly, I prefer a simple notebook even).
If your problems are not solved by that, I would suggest contacting support to see if perhaps there is a bug somewhere?1
