The Barcode comes up as unusable? How can I enter the nutrition info manually?

The easiest is to add it as a “my foods” entry if the scanner won’t come up at all. (Make sure you’re connected to the internet, of course, so MFP can reach the database for the scanner to work properly).
To add to your foods, go to settings or “more” on the app, then choose “my foods, recipes, meals,” and enter it appropriately. I don’t think you can scan the barcode in the future and get to it this way, though.

If the barcode scanner came up with something nonsensical, you can use “report food” to do just that. However, realize that some barcodes for small companies may be using a generic barcode pattern, and may be close to what you need and not worth reporting. For instance, various baguette-type breads may be a carb off here or there when you weigh out the serving sizes. But the bag may list varying serving sizes and seem far off at first glance before you do the gram-based math.
However, you can report the food and have it entered into your “my foods” at the same time. MFP may or may not change the initial entry. Scroll down to the bottom of the entry and hit “report food.” Choose your reason why. Follow the prompts which last I checked included entering all the new nutritional data. Have fun with it.
