I have not been online for a couple of years.
Lost 17 pounds one time but could not keep it off. Now need to lose more than that.
Wish me good luck. And have a great day.

In some ways, maintaining a loss is more difficult than losing in the first place - if nothing else, just because managing weight is pretty much a forever thing, but losing is (theoretically) temporary.
In my mind, that puts a premium on using the weight loss process to find and groove in reasonably-happy new habits I can stick with forever, almost on autopilot, rather than going pedal to the metal with restrictions, punitive and miserable exercise, and other stuff I don't like so won't want to stick with, just to shed weight fast. YMMV.
If that's you in your profile photo, you look like you might be in my demographic, at least age-wise (I'm 66 . . . female, though). I'm here maintaining a new healthy weight (year 6+ now) after losing 50-some pounds back in 2015.
Welcome back, wishing you long-term success!0
