Almost daily my calories do not match my macros. My calories are between 50-150 off. This never used to happen, what has changed?

I don't think MFP can fail to add up the calories to your daily amount, it uses percentages.

Can you provide a snip of your macros and daily calorie count?

    Or calculate it yourself: carbs = 4carbs/gramme, protein = 4 carbs/gramme, fat = 9 carbs/gramme.

Some one or more database entries you used don't have calories that cross-foot mathematically to their macros. I'm actually surprised that you ever had them match exactly, because most foods were inputted by MFP users from the product labels, and the labels often have some small rounding differences. On top of that, some users enter the foods inaccurately.

I'd also note that alcohol has calories, but is not fats, protein or carbs. It's its own thing, sort of a pseudo-macronutrient, 7 calories per gram of alcohol. There's no spot to put alcohol calories in the MFP database, so people either input the calories with zero macros attributable to alcohol, or put the calories in a macro that isn't accurate. (Note: Some alcoholic beverages do have other macronutrients in them, often carbs . . . but the actual alcohol part isn't carbs, protein, or fats.)

If alcohol is the reason for the discrepancy, and all the database entries that day are correct, you'd expect the multiplied out fat/carb/protein macros to total to more fewer calories than the day's calorie totals.

If you're in the US (for example), fiber could be another reason for the discrepancy: some countries count fiber as carbs, but fiber only has 2 calories per gram or even none at all, depending on the type.
