Hormones

Is there such a thing as eating for your hormone type? I am in menopause and even though I watch what I eat I seem to be hungry most of the time.

No. Hormones don't have "types..." unless you count male/female.

I find that getting enough protein and vegetables stops that over-eating thing. If I have too many sweets or wheat items it can cause me to be hungrier so I stick to well-rounded meals.

I lost 80+ pounds after menopause. It's all about the calories.

Yup... No Hormone type. But with that said, Female, 53, Not post meno yet... and there are certain times during the month where it is impossible to eat within my calorie deficit. I have been at this now for two months, and I just looked back at my food diary for and found almost to the day(s) certain times of the month same Large increase in calories. (I think it must be hormonal). Will definitely check it out next month and the next month.

I just try to eat a little less when I can and it seems to be leveling out for a continued weight loss. Some weeks less loss some weeks more loss. Just knowing it "is what it is" and the tracking to know for me this is normal.
