Activity Setting

I have been wearing my pedometer to work for the past few days, and I average about 10,000 steps. This is just work, not counting exercise and walking my dogs. Should I change my activity setting to moderately active, and then still add exercise separately? I have had it set to lightly active, and adding exercise, but lost weight this week. I still have to add in my weight training, which will begin tomorrow or next week. My diary is open. Any advice is welcome.

Yes, I would change it to moderately active and log workouts separate. Good for you for getting in so many steps at work! Wish I could, they chain me to my desk- :)

Mine is the Fitbit. I average (when not injured) 25,000 steps total for the day and with this slowly healing fractured foot, I am averaging more like 14,000. I have mine set for moderate and log absolutely no exercise and the Fitbit transfers exercise calories based on total activity level. BUT that is just me.

Seeing as I don't have a fitbit, this doesn't really apply to me. You are also trying to lose weight, and I am trying NOT to. But good job getting all the steps in, even with an injury:)

I think I'll finish out the week as-is, and then change it for next week, but try harder to meet my net calorie goal in the meantime.
