I feel that I need to have a bread item for breakfast but is bread bad and ultimately turning into sugar?

No, bread is not bad, unless you are eating so much of it that you are missing out on nutrition in the rest of your diet.

Also, just a simple fact, ALL carbs (fruits, veggies, starches, etc) are ultimately broken down into sugar to be used by the body - that is the definition of a 'carb'.

Bread isn't "bad"...some breads have more nutritional value than others in terms of protein, fiber, other trace vitamins and minerals, etc. Bread tends to be calorie dense which is why some people avoid it, particularly when dieting. I eat sandwiches, including breakfast sandwiches with regularity though I'm not typically one to just have bread as a side or something.

As mentioned, all carbohydrates are converted to glucose (sugar) when metabolized. That isn't an inherently bad thing...it's not a bad thing at all. Our bodies and brains run on glucose. Breaking down carbohydrates into glucose for fuel is how your body biologically works.
