I've been training for over 6 weeks now for my first race - 10k this Sunday for Cancer Research. I will having been training for 7 weeks. I can now run 11.25 k in 71 mins!
I've lost pretty much a stone (when I checked a couple of weeks ago).
This evening, however, I just wrote down (one slip of paper for each week) my training for the next 13 weeks for a Dec 10-m i l e race (starting as soon as I've run the race). It's a great plan, slow and steady, building you up. It's a strange feeling to see the next 14 weeks of your life mapped out, but it's also a wonderful challenge.
I'm very determined to reach these goals, so I'm sharing it with everyone now. Here's the ten-mile training plan, the best I've seen.
