Tracking Omega 3s and Magnesium

Hello! I’m loving MFP!
I need to track a few nutrients that MFP does not track. Omega 3 and Magnesium to be specific. Any suggestions for keeping up with these? Also…any possibility that there would be a micro-nutrient enhancement in the works?

An enhancement is unlikely: MFP relies on crowd-sourced food entries (i.e. MFP users input them), and those nutrients aren't on on most food labels.

Suggestion: Spot check a day of your eating once in a while using other sources (like the USDA database), then adjust your eating patterns accordingly.

If you truly require more precision, consider the Cronimeter app. There are convenience tradeoffs, though: MFP's database is more comprehensive.

I agree, I have recently discovered I have heart issues. I use MFP daily but I need to monitor my Magnesium and Potassium levels now and although MFP has Potassium it does not do Magnesium. I understand it isn't readily available information but I am sure MFP users that need the answer will find it so long as you give them the chance.

Because (reasons) I have recently been trying out My Net Diary.

It does have the ability to track magnesium, omega threes, and potassium also.

It also gives me the ability to track my blood glucose levels in the app so I can compare it directly with the foods I eat.

I think these are premium features?
If you absolutely must track these nutrients, you might want to consider having a look at that app.
