Night-shift worker diet?

Since gut bacteria appear to have a circadian rhythm of their own, when should night-shift workers eat the majority of their calories to avoid gaining weight?

Whenever they're hungry or have a chance to eat if their job keeps them too busy to remember.

Food doesn't care what time you ingest it. Just if you eat too much of it. Or too little.

It doesn't matter what time you eat what, as long as you feel happy and full with it. Just imagine moving internationally to a completely different time zone: do you think people suddenly have to eat in the middle of the night to keep their gut happy?

    Makes no difference.

Or at least so little that it is meaningless.

If their total calorie intake is such that they are in a calorie deficit they will lose weight.

or not, if they are not

Just like everyone who works any other shift or routine.
