Hey everyone!
So, I really really 𝘭𝘰𝘷𝘦 Diet Coke. In fact, it’s also the only thing that stops my binge urges. I feel the need to binge? I just drink some Diet Coke and it’s all gone! So, as a result of this, I drink about 1.5 litres (3 500ml bottles- they don’t sell cans at the market near me) per WEEK. I’m am a bit concerned that Coke might have effects on my weight, or long term effects on my health. I can’t really find a straight answer wether Diet Coke has negative effects on people, so I’m looking for some input here. Thanks!

1.5 liters a week is actually not that much. If I calculated that correctly, it would be about four 12oz cans per week.

If it stops you from binging, then I'd keep doing it. Diet Coke has no calories, so it won't have an impact on your weight.

Some people have issues with artificial sweeteners making them more hungry, but you have the opposite effect, so no problem there. Other people say they get headaches or digestive problems, but if it's not an issue for you, then carry on.

I, too, would say keep using it since it works for you. As time goes on and you get your diet and binges under control, you can cut back. A famous nutritionist here (in Italy) once said. Anything you eat or drink everyday or frequently has the possibility of doing harm long term. His advice was to vary your diet--spread the risk.

    It's mostly water.
It's been passed as safe to consume by 200+ countries.
You aren't drinking a lot at all.
It seems to confer benefits to you in avoiding binges. That would seem to be only positive in terms of weight control compared to the tiny number of calories in 1.5 itres of diet coke a week.

    Not seeing a probelm TBH.
