Obesity could be linked to bacteria in your gut

Interesting read. I believe that obesity is caused by poor lifestyle chooses with the exception of people who have thyroid problems. Eat more food than your body needs = fat gain. Simple enough0

That's a misleading title. What the article actually says is that gut flora is a function of what a person eats, so a more accurate title would be "Eating bad leads to obesity".0

Well, no one said that the gut flora was not within our dietary and nutritional control. No one is looking for an excuse here. But pointing out that the foods you eat that are high in processed sugar actually make a chemical difference in your gut that could lead to making your struggle harder is important information for anyone who is fighting obesity. Thinking about the balance of foods and well-rounded approach to eating healthy bacterias (like those in yogurt and fermented foods) is totally within our control and will inform our decisions about our bodies, either making our battle unnecessarily difficult or making the choices we must live with easier than if we made other food choices.
The title implies a LINKAGE (correlation) only! Not a cause/effect factor! I assume those reading are discriminate in their interpretation of ACTUAL words used.
Calm, please. This is just information!0
