Back on the wagon.... *again*.... A word on 16/8 Intermittent Fasting + carb minimization

I'm back on the wagon again. I'm a bit of a roller-coaster with weight, but each "upward swing" thankfully is less than the last. I'm at about 276lbs right now, after reaching a lowest-in-my-adult-life of 265 a few months ago. I need to drop those 11lbs (which seem to be the important pounds to get into a size 40 pants comfortably) and then continue to my set goal of 200 (and honestly will consider myself happy staying in the 200-210 range for the rest of my life.

To add insult to fatness, I am also a diabetic or pre-diabetic, depending on who you ask. My fasting BS in the morning is in the 120's, although it tends to drop to 100 or below by lunch time. I am practicing intermittent fasting 16/8, which means no breakfast other than coffee and no eating or taking in anything caloric after 8:00PM. Next, I'm watching carbs, avoiding sugar altogether, etc.

Any thoughts or experiences on long-term IF and perhaps those who are pre-diabetic or type 2 diabetic, thoughts on weight loss' impact on that? I have already reduced my morning fasting BS by a pretty good amount, but want to get that fasting down to under 100 like a normal non-fatty.

Thanks for your input.

Whatever the method you use, You need to find something that you'll stick with. Doesn't matter if it's low carb, ketogenic or fasting.

I don't do fasting because it just makes me more hungry but I have done low carb/ketogenic And have found out very beneficial to me. Although, I have now moved back to a balanced diet.

My biggest recommendation is still focused on getting adequate protein, and at a fiber in your diet. I definitely I'd work on getting some exercise.
