What to do when you've been in a calorie deficite for a long time and you've now got a weight loss plateau?

How long has your weight held steady? Did loss stop suddenly, without any changes in eating/activity to explain it? Or did loss rate gradually taper off over weeks to months?
It's impossible to answer specifically without more information.
Usually, the answer is either
1. Re-evaluate your calorie goal, if you've lost so much weight that you now require fewer calories than when you started losing (i.e., many tens of pounds, and loss tapered off gradually);
2. Wait it out, because it's water weight weirdness (if it was sudden, has been less than a month or two stall); or
3. It's time to take a break at maintenance calories.
#1 is sort of obvious: Go back through MFP guided setup, see if you get a different answer.
