Calorie amounts

Hi, if a person eats larger amounts of salads/vegetables which obviously still do not amount to a lot of calories, does the body still 'think' that that person is not eating enough calories? Or does the body realise it is not hungry? As in, does the body start storing all since it's fewer calories?

Thank you. 😊
