Calories added with exercise

Hi. I am wanting to lose weight. When I exercise it adds more calories to eat. Isn’t that to maintain? Have I messed up in my settings somewhere? I’m staying at 1100 or less just to be safe.

If you selected a weight loss rate, your calorie goal is to lose weight at that rate.
You get extra calories for exercise because your activity level selected on MFP is not meant to include exercise. So if you exercise, you need to eat more to stay at the selected rate of loss..
1100 is very low, not a good idea unless perhaps you are very small, old and/or sedentary.0
